Private members’ clubs and hospitality

EPOCH NUTRITION engages with private members’ clubs and hospitality operations on the proposition that dining is, in fact, preventive medicine. Member-facing clinical calibration without compromising the dining experience.

Most chronic disease in the second half of life is the late expression of a single underlying biology, namely smouldering chronic inflammation, driven by metabolic dysfunction, deeply entangled with the gut microbiome. Addressed early, through what we eat, how we sleep and how we move, this biology is genuinely modifiable. The result is decades of energy, sharpness and capacity.

The proposition for members’ clubs

Private members’ clubs serve their members across decades. The dining operation is the most consistent biological intervention the club delivers, whether or not it is framed that way. EPOCH NUTRITION engages with clubs to calibrate the dining operation against the same clinical principles, in ways that do not compromise the dining experience but materially improve the underlying biology of the membership over time.

What an engagement involves

A scoping conversation with the general manager, head of food and beverage or membership director. Where engagement proceeds, the institutional partnership covers: the Nutrition Assessment Framework applied to the club’s dining operation, calibration of menus against the same clinical principles, training of culinary and front-of-house staff, optional member-facing content and clinical engagement through the EPOCH clinical programmes, and the Foundation pathway for hospitality staff.

The Foundation pathway for hospitality staff

A proportion of EPOCH commercial revenue is committed to the EPOCH Foundation, applied uniformly across every clinical stream and the EPOCH Nutrition institutional arm. For members’ clubs, this extends the clinical and educational standard to the hospitality staff who would not otherwise access the preventive work.

An initial conversation

Institutional engagement begins with a scoping conversation

Substantive clinical and strategic work rather than a sales meeting. Calibrated to the institutional context.
